Phillip’s cousin, Luzanne, got married in Harrismith on 30 March 2019 (and I just realized I stamped 2018…) The reception was held in a marque tent in their backyard. The family really pulled together to get everything done and perfect for the big day. I even helped with the floral arrangements.

I photographed the wedding and it was the first Free State (a province in South Africa) wedding I ever photographed. I really loved the scenery. It is just sou beautiful, especially with the blush wedding dress and the extravagant bouquet.

I based my layout on the last Sketch of 2019 on the Facebook group, Scrap and Sell Across South Africa, Sketch 25, but adapted it a bit. I used paper from Mintay’s “Together” collection. I finished the layout on 5 January 2020.

The fussy cut flower from the “Together” collection really looks a lot like the one in the original sketch by Michelle van Wyk. I love small coincidences like this.

It was a beautiful day that will not soon be forgotten.
